JENNIFER PEERS
JENNIFER PEERS
Voice studio for professional & aspiring musical theatre performers

About Jen

Hi, I’m Jennifer Peers - a singing teacher and performer dedicated to supporting aspiring and professional musical theatre performers. I work closely with artists who are serious about their craft, offering personalised vocal training and guidance to help them build rewarding and sustainable careers.

In addition to my private studio in Sydney, I’m also part of the vocal faculty at two of Australia’s top training institutions - NIDA and Brent Street - where I teach vocal technique in their Diploma of Musical Theatre programs.

As a performer, my career has taken me across Australia and the UK, with credits including Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Jerry Springer the Opera, City of Angels, Sunday In The Park With George and original Australian musical The Hatpin. I’ve also appeared with The Production Company in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Showboat, and The Pirates of Penzance. My UK credits include Shoes (West End), Master Class (UK Tour), and 57 Hours at the National Theatre Studio in London.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from WAAPA and a Bachelor of Music (Voice) from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

My mission is simple: to empower musical theatre performers with the tools, technique, and confidence they need to thrive. Through honest feedback, high-quality training, and individualised support, I aim to create a space where you can develop your voice, your artistry, and your career with integrity, joy, and care.

I’m probably not for you if…

You are under 16 years of age or a beginner.

I’d love to work with you, but my studio gets very busy so I focus only on professional and aspiring professional singers.

KAT HOYOS

What I love about Jen (in the nicest way possible), is she is an absolute nerd when it comes to knowing about the voice - anatomically, and as an instrument. What comes with being an absolute nerd is passion and knowledge. Her face lights up when she talks about it. You can tell she cares about it, and cares about you. She keeps learning, she keeps expanding, and in my eyes, is what a teacher should be. Sharing her inspired wisdom. Oh yeah, and a helluva singer herself.

LUKE HABERECHT

After graduating from WAAPA, it was paramount for me to find a teacher that placed equal value on vocal technique and acting through song. Jen was exactly this - but so much more! After four years of working with Jen, I can proudly say that I have found a coach and confidant who has created a safe, nurturing space, and has diversified my abilities while fostering my individuality. Jen’s guidance has taken my voice lightyears beyond what I ever could have hoped it could be. When it comes to audition preparation or expanding your repertoire, Jen’s complex understanding of musical theatre, both as a genre and as an industry, is truly incomparable. I cannot recommend Jen highly enough; without her tutelage and support, I could never have possibly seen the success and improvement that I have.

I came to Jen as a weekly vocal coach after graduating from WAAPA. Jen soon became much more than this! With advice about the industry, casting agents and golden information she soon became a life saver. Jen has such in-depth knowledge as a singer and performer and can always answer my obscure questions, no matter the topic. Her studio space is friendly and open, much like Jen herself and she has allowed my voice to grow exponentially.
