I can’t find a time, what can I do?

The studio can get very busy, so I recommend booking a couple of weeks in advance.  If you need a lesson last minute, email info@jenniferpeers.com with your preferred time and I’ll add you to the waiting list in case of changes/cancellations. I always do my best to accommodate everyone.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Direct deposit is preferred. I also accept cash, credit card and PayPal.

What Is your cancellation policy?

My time is valuable and so is yours. Please give at least 24hrs notice when cancelling or rescheduling otherwise full fee is owed. This allows me to reallocate the time to someone on the waiting list so I can best serve you all.

I’ve Woken up unwell, what do i do about my lesson?

Firstly, sorry to hear that - I hope you feel better soon! If you are unwell (even the mildest of symptoms), please select an online session. You can change your in-person lesson booking to online at any time without incurring fees.

How do online lessons work?

Online lessons are via Zoom. You will be emailed instructions at time of booking. (Facebook Messenger Video, FaceTime or Skype are also available if preferred, but I find Zoom the most reliable!). You’ll need to playback accompaniment tracks from your end so you can hear it best. If you can organise some speakers or have a second device handy would be great. Rest assured, online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons - in some ways, they’re even better.

Do you offer packages/discounts?

If you are a regular client, you can purchase a pack of five lessons for $675 (10% discount) that have a 12 month expiry.

Do you teach kids? Beginners?

I am a huge advocate of music education for kids and the power of singing for everyone, however my studio focuses on serving professional and aspiring professional singers over 16yrs.  If you’d still like to get in touch I can recommend some great teachers. I also think joining a choir is a brilliant idea!

Can I record my lesson?

Yes please! It’s a great idea so you can listen back at home.  Bonus points if you keep a lesson diary too.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE LESSONS?

The frequency of singing lessons is up to you and your schedule, but most students find that weekly or fortnightly lessons are the most effective.

What should I bring to my first lesson?

Your repertoire folder or audition book so I can hear you and get an idea of where you’re at. Or you can just bring a song or two that you’re comfortable with and we’ll go from there (clear piano/vocal sheet music and/or backing track).

Can I use you as a reference on my CV?

It’s a good idea to ask me first. That way when agents/directors/musical directors call me about you, everyone looks professional.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?
