Jennifer Peers Voice Studio

How do I book?

Existing clients can access online booking here: . If you’re new, get in touch via my contact page first and we’ll go from there.

I can’t find a time, what can I do?

The studio can get very busy, so I recommend booking a week in advance.  However if you need a lesson last minute, email with your preferred time and I’ll add you to the waiting list in case of changes/cancellations. I always do my best to squeeze everyone in!

What should I bring to my first lesson?

Your repertoire folder or audition book so I can hear you and get an idea of where you’re at.  If you don’t have one yet or don’t even know what your “book” is, that’s ok too!  Just bring a song or two that you’re comfortable with and we’ll go from there.  Clear piano/vocal sheet music preferred but a backing track is enough to start.

Where can I find sheet music/resources?

Useful Resources:

  •  - subscription site for books/sheet music.

  •  - buy/transpose digital sheet music & audition cuts.  The audition cuts section is also amazing for pop/rock material for musical theatre auditions.

  •  - vocal warm up app that’s great and made by Australian musical directors who don’t pay me to recommend this!

  • or any free piano keyboard app for when you don’t have access to a keyboard.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash and direct deposit are preferred. I also accept credit card and PayPal.

Do you offer packages/discounts?

If you are a regular client, you can purchase a pack of 5 lessons for $605 ($55 discount) that have a 12 month expiry.

Where are you located?

Bellevue Hill is in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.  Surrounding suburbs are Bondi, Bondi Junction, Rose Bay, Double Bay, Paddington, Woollahra, Edgecliff and Vaucluse.

I’m sick, should I still come to my lesson?

If you are contagious or are suffering complete voice loss it’s best to reschedule (24 hrs notice required.)  If you’re just a bit under the weather and don’t want to cancel, we can always do a “No Voice Voice Lesson” with focus on silent things like breathing, alignment and repertoire building.  You’d be amazed what you can achieve when you shut up!

Can I record my lesson?

Yes please! It’s a great idea so you can listen back at home.  Bonus points if you keep a lesson diary/notes too.

Can I use you as a reference/on my CV?

It’s a good idea to ask me first. That way when agents/directors/musical directors call me about you, everyone looks professional.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Do you teach kids? Beginners?

I am a huge advocate of music education for kids and the power of singing for everyone, however my studio focuses on serving professional and aspiring professional singers over 16yrs.  If you’d still like to get in touch I can recommend some great teachers. I also think joining a choir is a brilliant idea!
